Easter Outreach - praying that God will work!!

I guess I need to constantly remind myself... it doesn't matter how hard I work, if I'm not walking with Jesus then the work is useless, unproductive at best. So I've been praying that God will use Newlife Church to reach those who're far from God and connect them with Jesus and the life He brings. Praying that the new series 'the game of LIFE' will actually be used by God to reach the ones He is looking for in Springfield and beyond. Please pray for Easter Sat and Sun especially.

Now the Easter Sunday Postcard

I've finally worked out how to do this, and here's the draft Postcard for Easter Sunday. BRING IT ON!!!

How about this Easter Saturday Postcard?

trying to see if this works...

Easter Sunday Postcard Draft 1

Here's the one for Sunday, can't seem to get the colour to work out...

Easter Postcards Draft 1

I’ve just spent the afternoon working on Easter Postcards for Church.

It’s a rewarding thing working on stuff like this, I actually feel that there is something to show for the hours spent. Anyway it’s just the first draft, but I’m pretty happy with them for now.

Going ALL the way...

Towards the end of last year I was delighted to receive a free copy of Craig Groeschel’s new book, “Going All the Way: Preparing for a Marriage that Goes the Distance.” In return, all he asked was that I write an honest review of the book on my blog.

Again Craig delivers the goods with this book on God’s heart for marriage. Written in an easy to read, engaging style Craig faithfully opens up God’s Word from a Jesus centered perspective. His foundations are strong and based on God’s word and practically applied to our current cultural environment in the western world. I first became a fan when I picked up “Confessions of a Pastor” and with this book Craig has cemented himself as one of my favorite authors.

I will be certainly making this book required reading for all couples and highly recommending it for all our young adults. Hey, I might even do a series based on it and give everyone a copy of the book for them to read and discuss in small groups. I certainly wish I had read a book like this in my early teens, but having said that there were still plenty of things I picked up that I can continue to work on, as I aim to grow as a better husband to my awesome wife and dad to my boys.

Craig is right… God does want our marriages to go all the way! Thanks Craig, I look forward to your next book.
